Lead Web Developer

Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

You will be working as a Tech Lead, managing our APP Squad, a small and dynamic cross-functional team, where your role will be focused on leading the development of apps generated by the Criton platform . The App Squad is fully responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of the apps generated by the platform. The key technologies used within the App Squad are Angular 4/5 and Ionic 3. 

Your job will involve:

  • Implementing user stories and tech stories through clean, maintainable code, together with the squad (at least 75% of the time will be spent coding)

  • Working closely with the product manager to maintain the squad’s product backlog and refine and estimate stories

  • Proactively managing technical debts by keeping track of them and prioritising tech stories to be addressed

  • Owning the technical design process for the part of the codebase which the squad is responsible for (criton-app, criton-distribution)

  • Providing mentorship and guidance to other members of the squad

  •  Setting and documenting coding guidelines, best practices and standards for the area of the codebase which the squad is responsible for (criton-cms, criton-api)

  Lead Developer – Integrations

Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

You will be working as a Tech Lead, managing our newly formed Integrations Squad, a small and dynamic cross-functional team, where your role will be focused on integrating the Criton platform with current Hotel Property Management Systems. Your role will mainly involve working in close collaboration with the Product Manager on researching and spec’ing out integrations opportunities and taking the lead on the implementation of those integrations within Criton.

We see the Integrations part as being a major part of our global success.

For the Integrations Squad we are mainly looking for:

● Python frameworks (e.g. Flask, Django)

● Database technologies – MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORMs (SQLAlchemy)

● RESTful APIs – design, implementation and documentation

● Familiarity with app publishing processes (App Store and Google Play Store)

● Experience with CI/CD tools (experience with Fastlane is a big plus!)

Senior QA/Test Engineer

Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

As a QA/Tester you will be part of the CMS Squad, a small and dynamic cross-functional team, where your role will be focused on quality assurance and testing of Criton’s web-based CMS. The CMS Squad is fully responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of the web-based CMS.

Your job will involve:

  • Designing, documenting, and implementing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and procedures for end-to-end integration testing of the web-based CMS
  • Performing manual exploratory testing
  • Designing, developing, and executing test automation scripts
  • Working closely with developers on the squad to ensure good test coverage of unit tests and to make the tests more robust
  • Acceptance testing to ensure that functionalities developed satisfy the requirements and are complete
  • Estimating, prioritising, and planning testing activities
  • Thorough tracking and documentation of bugs
  • Participating in the squad’s agile practices

What we do

Criton is an app builder for hospitality accommodation providers. Our system allows hospitality professionals to create their own mobile app for their accommodations and give their guests the best information and recommendations on their own devices. Criton was launched in December 2016.
